Centro Medico Ippocrate

First Vein Clinic in Parma, the Ippocrate Medical Center is an environment dedicated to the vascular pathology of the lower limbs in all its manifestations: from the integrated treatment of telengectasias, to varicose veins, up to the most delicate complications such as phlebitis and ulcers.

It is the love for science and human health that guides the work of the clinic, in the belief that study, research and attention to the needs of patients are the recipe for promoting the well-being of anyone. For this reason, the Hippocrates Medical Center has been dealing for several years with some specific sectors that affect the physical and psychological well-being of patients: vascular surgery-phlebology, general surgery, plastic and aesthetic surgery, aesthetic medicine and dermatology, physiatry and rehabilitation, diet and wellness. The goal pursued every day is the search for cutting-edge solutions, in line with the evolution of medical science and with the most recent technological innovations. Driving the activity, however, are above all the passion and the will to realize the legitimate desire that unites all patients, namely that of being well, exactly as taught by Hippocrates, the first doctor in history.

THREE PILLARS OF WELLNESS

The venous system is a great ally for health. Despite this, it is estimated that about 19 million Italians suffer from chronic venous disease and that one in three neglect the symptoms and ignore the risks. Worldwide, the incidence of chronic venous disease on the population fluctuates between 25 and 84%, and absorbs 1 to 3% of health resources in the most developed countries.

“In the veins flows the waste blood, the one that contains the waste, which must be cleaned after returning to the heart” explains Dr. Paolo Casoni, vascular surgeon, general and oncologist, as well as director of the Hippocrates Medical Center. “The cell can be compared to a person who eats and throws out the garbage, and the cells do the same. After they have completed their cycle they eliminate the waste. A venous stasis retains toxins that accelerate aging and cell death, so the origin of well-being must necessarily pass through a healthy venous system “.

“Man suffers from a venous insufficiency problem because in the long run the blood struggles to rise and therefore the stagnation of venous blood in the lower limbs progressively leads to an accumulation of toxicity. From here, then, three pillars of well-being are outlined, with the first being precisely the venous circulation ”continues the doctor. In fact, in more than 20,000 patients treated in 30 years, maintaining a fully efficient venous circulation is the basis for the patient to feel the sensation of well-being. “The second point is represented by efficient and dynamic osteo-articular and musculoskeletal systems. To this is added, finally, the need to accompany the patient towards an awareness that a lively and fresh metabolism, therefore inserting the care of nutrition as the third pillar of well-being.

The search for “feeling good” is therefore based on the need for a healthy and harmonious body to achieve aesthetics, which however should not be understood as a starting point, but a point of arrival and completion of a journey.
