Our Services

Angiology, Vascular Surgery and Phlebology

As illustrated in our general presentation, the Ippocrate Medical Center is the first Vein Clinic in Parma, an environment dedicated to the vascular pathology of the lower limbs, in all its manifestations, from the integrated treatment of telengectases, to varicose veins, to more delicate complications (phlebitis and ulcers). Our highly specialized staff, led by Dr. Paolo Casoni, deals with the diagnosis and the aesthetic treatment of Vein Diseases, the study of vascular diseases, vascular diagnostics with Eco-color Doppler and other activities related to phlebology and solution of problems concerning limbs with varicose veins.

Our clinical activity is avant-garde in this sector and allows us to adopt treatments that are less aggressive, which save more than 90% of the saphenous veins from ablation, either in the case of surgery, or with the laser, or with other methodologies.

before
after

The Ippocrate Center has been among the first in Italy to use innovative endovascular therapies that use cyanoacrylate for human use. Thanks to these therapies, we are able to act with extreme effectiveness and in a much less invasive way than before. Our main objective, in fact, is the protection of the venous heritage of our patients. In other words, we adopt diagnoses and therapies that allow us to cure without destroying that same heritage.

But the results achieved are not enough for us: the constant improvement of equipment, with the possibility of studying smaller and smaller details, and a staff of highly specialized professionals, allow us to progress daily in research, in diagnosing problems and in their solution.

The satisfaction of our patients, both aesthetically and clinically, confirms the goodness of our work.

    Phlebology: the structures

Varicose disease of the lower limbs has always been considered a pathology of secondary interest: in fact, it does not cause imminent dangers for the life of patients, except in exceptional cases. This is valid today as in the past, despite the diagnostic and therapeutic advances that have been seen in recent years. However, it is estimated that about 70% of the population aged between 18 and 75 should consult their doctor about problems related to their legs, ranging from the need to eliminate a simple blemish (telangiectasia) to a thrombophlebitis or to a lesion ulcerative.
